Entertain me

I'm bored at work today (Girlie Monkey, I love how you're trying to be more productive and I'm aiming to be less productive) and I can't really think of anything to blog about. My life currently consists of work, school, and sleep. So, if anyone reads this thing and wants to know more about me, feel free to send those questions my way. I'll answer (mostly) anything and fun questions usually bring up fun stories. Bring 'em on. I'm THAT bored today...

Kisses,
Curlygirl

Hahaha afterall, it is a Friday and it is against the law to work on a Friday (in my opinion), so here's a question for you:

What's the weirdest date you've ever been on and why?

Once upon a time, Curlygirl just got dumped by the Aussie and decided to have guys from the online spectrum, wine and dine her to make her feel better. One of these guys was great to correspond with. He was smart and witty on paper, but a little dull and awkward on the phone. No matter. Talking on the phone for the first time is always awkward. Curlygirl and the guy agreed to a quick after-work dinner.

Day of the date:

Curlygirl has been waiting for 10 minutes outside a pizza place watching the skateboarder show off their "skillz." A tall guy with a newsboy hat approaches her (can we say gay?). "Are you Curlygirl?" he asks.

Shit, she thinks to herself. "Yup, how's it going?"

They awkwardly chat for a second and since he obviously didn't have a plan on where they should eat; they meander around the downtown area for about 20 minutes before they find a place.

That dinner was torture. Curlygirl tried to find something that wouldn't take long to cook, so she could bail. Gay Hat Boy, of course, got steak. Well-done.

The "conversation" was like pulling teeth. She would ask him a question and he would answer and that would be it. It was awful and went on a lot longer than it should have. No dessert was ordered, so Curlygirl thought she could bail early (He didn't even offer to pay even though HE asked out HER).

"Do you want to go for a walk?" he asks.

Oy.

Curlygirl, feeling bad 'cause she's used to ditching out on her online dates early, somehow agrees.

They walk from the restaurant to a bookstore (random) not saying one word to each other. Then once they get there, Gay Hat Boy disappears. Probably to find a book on how to properly tell his parents he's gay.

So Curlygirl is wandering around the bookstore for a bit (by herself), when it suddenly occurs to her that she's a wonderful person and Gay Hat Boy sucks, so she's out.

Curlygirl finds Gay Hat Boy and taps him on the shoulder.

"I'm going to leave. I... have a headache."

"Oh ok," he says.

"Bye."

That's right. Curlygirl decided that this guy was such a punkass, that he didn't even deserve a "this was fun" or even a "thanks."

Who leaves a "date" alone in a bookstore?!?!?!

Thus the story of Curlygirl's weirdest/ most painful date...ever.

Best of luck, Gay Hat Boy. I hope the parents take it well.

Nice! I think I have you beat though (hmmm is it weird to be proud of having been on way too many bad dates?)

Girlie Monkey- You win. Hands down. I've either never been on a date like either of those before OR I'm blocking them out. Something tells me it's probably the latter...

There's some freaky boys out there...
